"This is the disaster of a lifetime, and disasters are very painful, but it's also an opportunity" is what Muhammad Yunus of Grameen Bank had to say about the current financial crisis. But what is this opportunity he is talking about?

Yunus is talking about a rebuild of the financial system in such a way that an entirely new class of companies, driven by both profit motive and a desire to improve society, can be launched.

In our society and in consumer behaviour, there is already a significant and growing shift towards spending money with socially conscious companies and brands, or as the British Government currently labels it, Corporate Social Responsibility.

Future Arts invites your company to be a leading change-maker by getting involved in our social enterprise, with the benefits of building credible communication for your company, building trust for your potential customers and amplifying the positive impact you can make in your local communities.

There are 4 ways where your company can get involved, support our charitable work and be part of one of the most exciting and culturally thrilling developments right on your doorstep...

corporate sponsorship corporate social responsibility yorkshire

Sponsor a Future Arts' event or showcase, or sponsor a Future Arts' initiative - Future Youth, Future Communities or Future TV and its work with hundreds of young people and adults in our communities each year, and receive fantastic publicity opportunities.

Through your generous sponsorship you help to prevent the social exclusion of young people and vulnerable adults in the local communities where your company has a presence.

staff development

Maybe you or your staff have skills or services you wish to contribute that will support Future Arts in achieving our social mission and make a difference to the communities around us. Your staff involvement can compliment your company's staff development programme or your local community programmes by providing opportunities for staff involvement and skills development with Future Arts. By generously giving expertise or services we hope that your staff will experience settings unlike those they normally encounter and that their experience will inspire innovation and imaginative problem-solving.

pass on your equipment

Our needs range from IT equipment such as laptops and software, to creative equipment e.g. cameras, tripods, mixing desks, synths, midi controllers and recording equipment. If your company regularly replaces its equipment or has useful equipment that never gets used please do contact us if you have any products you think we could use.

work experience vocational opportunities

Future Youth regularly has people who have reached the stage where they are ready, willing and yearn to contribute the skills they have gained through our initiatives in exchange for real world work experience. Such an experience, no matter how short, could be one of the most valuable opportunities that person will experience to better their prospects and improve their life. There are two approaches we can discuss; maybe you can offer internships and work experience at your company, or, maybe you or your staff can become a Mentor as part of your company's staff development to a young person wishing to join our Future Services team. If you can support a vocational experience to members of our Future Youth, please do contact us.

These areas are by no means exhaustive in where your company can join us to make a difference. Speak with Paula Temple, the Managing Director of Future Arts, to discuss the potential of working together by calling 0113 8157002.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
